TCEQ approves fines totaling $2,012,293
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $1,837,963 against 47 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one agriculture, 16 air quality, one Edwards Aquifer, one industrial wastewater discharge, two multi-media, two municipal solid waste, 11 municipal wastewater discharges, four public water systems, and two water quality.
Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one dry cleaner, two multi-media, one municipal solid waste, two public water systems, and one water quality.
In addition, on Aug. 18 and Aug. 25, the executive director approved penalties totaling $174,330 against 41 entities.
