Family-owned Texas septic contractor adds location on Bee Caves Rd serving Lakeway, Bee Cave & West Lake Hills, and begins maintenance plan for aerobic systems

AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Septic Pumping and Maintenance by Cody Young, a family-owned septic contractor licensed by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), has opened an office at 8947 Bee Caves Road, Suite 101, Austin, TX 78746. The company has also launched a flat-rate maintenance program for aerobic septic systems, its first subscription product.

The Austin office is the first the company has operated outside its Kingsland base. It serves Lakeway, Bee Cave, West Lake Hills, Spicewood and the surrounding western Austin area, where hillside and acreage lots frequently remain on On-Site Sewage Facilities, or OSSF, the Texas regulatory term for septic systems not connected to municipal sewer. Owner Cody Young, who started the business with a single truck, said the office shortens response times on emergency calls across west Austin.

"Austin has been on our service map for years, but a map is not a presence," Young said. "We wanted an office out here so people in Lakeway and Bee Cave have somebody local and reliable to call in case of a septic emergency. That is what this is."

The new maintenance program covers aerobic septic systems, which use mechanical components including an air pump, a chlorinator, a septic distribution field, and an effluent pump. Under Texas rules, residential aerobic systems must be serviced every four months and commercial systems every three months by a licensed maintenance provider. The two-year contract covers all scheduled maintenance visits, inspections and adjustments, service calls, parts and labor, chlorination service, priority scheduling and written service reports, at a flat rate of $65.00 per month for a 24-month term. Each contract includes a monitoring unit that tracks the system continuously and sends an alert when a component fails or performance falls outside normal range. Contracts begin with a system assessment by a TCEQ-licensed technician, and any repairs needed to bring a system up to standard are quoted separately and approved by the owner before work begins.

"Most aerobic septic failures out here do not announce themselves," Young said. "By the time there is standing water or a smell in the yard, the repair is expensive. Monitoring turns that into a service call instead of a replacement. For lake houses and second homes, nobody has to be at the property for us to know something is wrong."

The company reports a 4.9-star average rating across 306 Google reviews as of October 14, 2026. Reviews frequently reference after-hours callbacks and same-day arrival on emergency calls.

Services span the full septic system lifecycle, including installation of aerobic, conventional, mound and low-pressure dosing systems, septic tank and grease trap pumping, septic and drain field repair, maintenance contracts, system design, OSSF permit application, percolation testing, inspections, and porta potty rental. All work is performed by TCEQ-licensed technicians, and compliance documentation is provided on completed jobs. Estimates are provided at no charge, and the company operates a 24-hour line for emergency calls. Service availability by address can be confirmed at (325) 248-8740 or at septicpumpingburnetcounty.com.
